When people think of wedding planning, one of the things on their checklist is a great photographer. The happy couple (and probably family and friends) wants to capture those special moments — exchanging vows, putting on the rings, the moment they say “I do” as well as the posed portraits after the ceremony.
A wedding is such an important time in your life, though, that there are many precious moments before you say “I do.” It’s not just all those picture-perfect moments that you want to capture. The candid moments can be the most beautiful, meaningful moments that you want to treasure.
Consider having someone take pictures throughout the wedding planning process, and take some of your own. From the time the question is popped to the final days of the honeymoon, memories are being made.
Some key moments to consider: picking out the dress, the bachelor and bachelorette parties, picking out the cake and the flowers, getting ready on the special day, getting your hair, make up and nails done and many more.
These special moments can be captured in photos or on video. The images or video could be set to music, there could be some “blooper” moments and there will be the serious moments. These images will evoke laughter and tears of joy as the years go by.
Snapping pictures or taking video might be one of the things one of the bridesmaids wants to do as a gift to the bride. A bridesmaid could take all the pictures and make a separate album of the candid moments. I guarantee this will be as special to the bride as all the portraits of the special day.
If there are any brides out there who are doing this or who did this for their wedding, let us know what you think about the idea.
