Last week we discussed some fun and creative wedding ideas, and found one of the ideas worth a closer look. It is amazing how unique you can be with an aisle runner. From basic rose petals to elaborate 3D designs, your aisle runner can be a stunning detail that many people overlook.

Flowers can be used to create a variety of interesting shapes and patterns along the aisle. Rather than rose petals scattered spontaneously about, try creating a pattern out of the petals.  This idea works very well with an outdoor wedding. The petals can be placed in various shapes on the grass or the sand to create an aisle.

Bridalguide.com featured several creative floral arrangements for aisle décor. The magazine also discussed the idea of leaving behind the traditional straight-line aisle and going with a spiral set up. Try arranging the chairs in a spiral, creating a spiral aisle (pictured). This concept also gives the guests an unobstructed and up-close view of the bride as she winds her way to the center. It provides a more intimate feel for a smaller wedding.

Another idea is to create your own aisle runner that chronicles your journey from first date to the wedding altar.  You can use photos of special events and a few words and dates.

At Cre8 Salon and Spa, we love to see people express their individuality and creativity to help make their wedding day special. What ideas do you have?
