Wedding Wednesday: Valentine’s Day Ceremonies

It’s the day you’ve waited for your whole life – your wedding day.  Why not celebrate your commitment of love on Valentine’s Day? There’s no day during the year filled with as much love as February 14, so there’s no better time for a wedding. On this day, everyone puts forth a little extra effort to show their love and appreciation for that special person. Many people even go the extra mile and tie the knot.

The Empire State building has set the scene for many love stories on the big screen, including Sleepless in Seattle and An Affair to Remember, but did you that site does not allow weddings except on Valentine’s Day? Ten lucky couples are chosen each year to exchange their vows on top of the ESB.

Another popular venue for Valentine’s day ceremonies is in the Big Apple. There’s no better place to say “I love you” than Times Square.  On the most romantic day of the year, couples can tie the knot on the big screen on Duffy Square’s red steps.

Here are a couple Valentine’s wedding ceremonies taking place in Florida:

Orlando Eye

The Orlando Eye is inviting 30 couples to get married on the 400-foot observation wheel on February 13. Each couple will receive a private capsule and are allowed to bring their own bouquets, an officiant, and six guests. The Orlando Eye shows breathtaking views of the theme parks, attractions, downtown Orlando and Kennedy Space Center.

Botanical Gardens

Up to 50 couples are expected to exchange vows at the Clerk of the Court’s 10th annual Valentine’s Day Group Wedding. The groups wedding ceremony will take place on February 14 in the Wedding Garden of the Florida Botanical Gardens in Largo.
